The exact origin of the name Hopatcong is unknown, though it is most commonly attributed to the Lenape Indian word for “stone water,” or “stone over water”.
Paying tribute to Lake Hopatcong’s Lenape Indian roots, Stone Water is the region’s newest lakefront dining experience. Created by Joe and Lisa Leifken, in partnership with Gary Whitman of Windsor Capital Management and Marco DeFilippis of Caffè Navona, the restaurant features a magnificent East Coast influenced menu created by Executive Chef Domenick Torlucci. Stone Water delivers new-age American cuisine that draws inspiration from the wonderful food of Spain.

What are our hours?
Currently, Stone Water opens at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, 12 p.m. Wednesday – Saturday, and 10 a.m. on Sunday. The restaurant is closed on Mondays. Please call the restaurant to confirm holiday hours.
What is the parking situation?
Stone Water has 17 boat slips for restaurant patrons, as well as a large parking lot. Since our lot and dock slips are a bit tight when the restaurant is busy, please take advantage of our complimentary valet service and dock deckhands!
